I think this recording will be of interest to John McLaughlin fans because it features a great musician at a very early stage of his professional development and, just as poignantly, his pianist/composer friend (Bob Cornford) did not live long enough to realise his great potential, passing away young from a heart attack in 1983.

Thanks much for this. I am a huge devotee of John McLaughlin, and greatly appreciate the opportunity to listen in on a private session so early in his public career. That being said, I think this recording will be of limited interest to the broader public. Mahavishnu Orchestra it ain’t, nor Shakti, nor My Goals Beyond, nor The 4th Dimension, nor even the One Truth Band. Never the less, many thanks for providing this music.
