You’ve linked this to the wrong release. It should instead be linked to Jon Hassell’s 2009 ECM release “Last Nite the Moon Came Dropping Its Clothes in the Street.” In 2009, as the recording was released, I was blessed to see the great Jon Hassell and the original version of this band play at the Wexner Center at Ohio State University in Columbus – it was surreal. Well, so far, this Stockholm performance is equally mind-expanding. OH geez, where do I have to go to see JH perform again?!?!?!?!?!?!?

So far I can tell Part 1 is primarily the song “Abu Gil”. Clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap

Part 2 contains 3 primary compositions, “Coutrais” then “Last Nite the Moon Came”, and ending with “Clairvoyance”.

Part 3 is a sweet medley of 3 tunes, ‘Northline”, “Blue Period” and “Light on Water”.

Part 4 features Jan Bang’s composition ‘Passport Control’ from his release “And Poppies from Kandahar” – Hassell was a featured on on that release.

There ya go – I may perhaps be Jon Hassell’s biggest fan!

well, I myself don’t have any further info. However, I simply can’t hear him on
that recording. Also, if you look here
    http://www.jonhassell.com/concerts.html
it is only Aarset who is mentioned for the Stockholm gig, but not Youssef!

    Hi,

thanks for that recording – but is Dhafer Youssef indeed featured on it?

    Best regards,

    Johann
