It was to be my only Jarrett consert. I had to abstain from an earlier solo consert due to cough. Jarrett DONT like coughing ;).

In 1989 I was lucky to see this trio live in Miami. For me, this was the best live performance of music I have ever seen …. and it still is. Why ECM never released the 1989 Miami Concert to CD is beyond me. Thank you for this share: It takes me back to a night of glorious jazz by 3 masters of the form.

I was there as well. They had listed Gary as the drummer, and Jack as the bass player on the flyer! They both came out and took the wrong instrument, I wonder how many caught that.
I was a jazz student at FIU, and it was my first time seeing him. I was fortunate enough to see them again in Seattle in the early 2000’s
What masters… music will never be the same.

I was there! Afterwards I got the whole concert on casette, from someone working at the radio. I listened millions of times, and shared it with my friends from my hometown, in Romania. Only listening together, never let anyone copy it. Until someone stole it, of course. Thank you for this, I waited 20 years, but I knew one day I will hear it again. It’s still there, note for note, as if it was yesterday.
